This week it’s all about the costume designs for mean girls, specifically cheerleaders!
Blair and Madison rule the hallowed halls of Armstrong County High School. They like to book the bookish Tonya, make fun of Keith, and generally spend their time making the school a horrible place to hang. And of course, they descend like vultures on new girl Betty.
These girls needed costume designs for their cheerleader outfits, as well as bed time attire. After all, these girls get taken over by strange, eldritch forces to walk the night as mind controlled zombies in the middle of the night!
The top image above is Blair’ head cheerleader outfit design. She’s definitely too cool for school. As the tallest, most fashionable girl in school, she thinks she’s more grown up than anybody else. Her boyfriend’s letterman jacket is the perfect accessory—he’s probably the Home Coming King to her Queen.
Next up, Blair’s sleeping attire is a silk nightie, just one more illustration of how she thinks of herself as more sophisticated than the kiddie hicks she goes to school with…
Pint-sized Madison is a crony to mean girl Blair. Her style is an 80s mix of slap bracelets, face paint tattoos, and two-tone hair. She probably thinks she’s “Punk,” but she’s just an overgrown “Punky Brewster.”
Blair’s “Zombie bedtime” outfit. In the comic, she’s not actually wearing her bracelets at this point, but don’t ask me why she was sleeping in her leg warmers…
