I’ve added a new pencil to the drawings gallery today, a piece I’m working on called Prince of Demons!
This is a piece I’ve been thinking about for a long time. Inspired by the Flat Earth series by Tanith Lee, it depicts Azhrarn, the Prince of Demons, who rules from the underworld city of Druhim Vanashta. Azhrarn is only able to visit the world of man when night falls, for the sun’s rays would be his death, but he falls in love with Dunizel, known as Moonfire, a woman who embodies the light of the sun, but only that pale light which is reflected by the Moon and Comet by night.
This will be eventually be a new color piece, and I’m also thinking about doing a finished ink version as well (since I’m inking it for the color version anyway).
