Meet the Creepy Creatures Stalking the Soul Chasers in Book 08! ⋆ Twilight Tangents

The latest adventure of Soul Chaser Betty is nearing completion! I’ve finished 24 of 32 pages, and soon it’ll be time to start working on the cover.

Today it’s time to reveal the sinister forces waylaying Betty and the gang in the new story. You’ve seen the sample pages and images, so you know something is hell-bent on chowing down on the last Soul Chasers.

Meet the savage, feral creatures from the otherworld that have begun hunting Betty! Betty was marked by the Light of Cain when she killed the Weaver, drawing all sorts of nasty things that go bump in the night (see Slumber Party of DOOM!). But while a being like Yaldabaoth can be reasoned with, these creatures are feral, animal spirits driven by pure instinct, and that instinct is to kill and consume their prey!

These things are creatures of pure spirit. Only their skulls are corporeal.

They can still affect the real world, even if Betty and Rolf’s blades seem to barely scratch them.

And if Betty and Rolf can’t stop them, what chance does Sheriff Hanson have?

But they come in many forms. Hunter, Prey, Scavenger, and more.

Their home in the otherworld of Nod is a lush, jungle-like dreamscape.
