I know, I know, I’ve been promising to give a Betty update for far too long now. I’ve been head down, nose to the grindstone, cooking—whatever you want to call it. Then I look up and realize, jeez, I’m almost done with the book, maybe I oughta let people know about it!
So let’s go: it’s time to reveal Soul Chaser Betty Book 09: The Haunting of the Renegade Blades!
It’s All Hallow’s Eve in the sleepy little town of Armstrong and kids everywhere are donning their costumes for a wild night of trick or treating.
But Halloween is also a time when the lands of the living and the dead intersect, a night when ghoulies and ghosts pass over the thin veil that separates the two. That’s quite unfortunate for Betty, still cursed with the Mark of Cain, a sigil calling out to the most sinister shadows lurking in the darkness beyond the waking worlds we know.
Betty just wants a rest from the curses that keep hounding her. Too bad. When an army of undead apparitions begin to follow her, she discovers these ghostly poltergeists don’t just go bump in the night—they kill!
But it’s their leader who Betty should really be afraid of, capable of commanding the dead!
Could this new menace be the long dead ghost of an ancient Soul Chaser, his cursed soul somehow stuck wandering the land of nightmares, unable to pass on?
And could there be two of them?
