Ok, yeah, I know – it’s been a while since I’ve updated. So, what have I been up to, anyway?
Betty book 09 is pretty much finished. I’ve been working nose to the proverbial stone in order to get the colors finished on the cover. Hey, look, I’m colorblind. It takes a while and there’s a lot of second guessing myself. BUT, I think the cover is 98% nailed down! I’m currently planning on making the PDF go live in the store sometime in December.
Meanwhile, I’ve also been putting together some new videos for the YouTube channel. First up, a detailed demonstration of inking an entire splash panel from the new Betty book. Then there’s a demo of painting and finishing an entire panel from Salvage Hounds 02. That one I recorded a while back, but I figured, hey, let’s do an inking video before the one that shows how to finish the inks. Both are detailed with lots of tips and insights into my process. Look for those to be going up later this year / early next year.
Finally, I’ve already started work on Salvage Hounds 03. The script is in the can, and I’m working on the pre-production for the book – stuff like character designs, mecha and ship designs, etc. I hope to start drawing pages sometime early next year.
