RagnaRock! was the first comic concept I created back in my High School / College days, circa 1992. Eventually the idea was abandoned as I grew older and my tastes became much more sophisticated (or not, you be the judge). Many of the cooler themes and ideas, such as floating continents, mixtures of futuristic and fantasy, and even entire concepts(!) wound up finding there way into the game SepterraCore, even forming the mythology seeds behind Seraphim, a game that never saw the light of day.
You’ll find a couple more Ragnarock! sketches Women 18+ galleries as well.

Ryu in Armor - 1992
This is a design I did for the main character of the abandoned comic series, "Ragnarock." Ryu and his friends are transported from modern day Earth (hence the gym shoes) to an alternate dimension fantasy world. Here they find a world of floating continents torn asunder by a war over magical stones that contain the souls of fallen gods. Those stones, without all the bad 80s anime cliches, would eventually find themselves in the Valkyrie games SepterraCore and Seraphim.

Vorkantan Warrior Concept - 1992
This was a design for one of the fantasy races in the abandoned "Ragnarock" comic project from my college days. These creatures were man-beasts with excellent tracking and fighting skills. They lived in packs that resembled insect hives, with a queen protected by hundreds of warriors. Basically wolfy Dwarves, I guess.

Bioship 1 - 1992
Boy do I love the idea of flying battleships. I used to think that anime such as those of Miyazaki put that bug in me, but upon re-reading the Burroughs Barsoom series as an adult, I realized that the idea had been planted in my head way earlier! This was the first attempt at designing a flying battleship, in this case a bio-engineered vessel for an abandoned comic project called "Ragnarock!" This one was going to be a pirate vessel. The ships were going to have the ability to warp into other dimensions by expending massive amounts of energy.

Bioship 2 - 1992
This was my second attempt at a bio-engineered ship design back in the day This was designed to be a more threatening looking craft, possibly a light corvette. The tail is used as a rudder, the ship is controlled by an organic brain, and the magical (Core ?!) energy that runs the ship is sucked into an organic heart to be pumped to various systems. The basic concept of these ships, if not the actual look, was used as the foundation for the Chosen ships in SepterraCore.

Kara Blades - 1992
Kara was a typical anime elf with long green hair. She befriends several teenagers who are transported from earth into her fantasy world. Like I said, not very original. Oh yeah, did I mention that the main characters were in a band (hence the "Rock!" in Ragnarock!? Yeah, I watched too much Borgman and Bubblegum Crisis back in the day.

Kara Duel - 1992
RagnaRock! was a story that I worked on in my High School/College days. I abandoned it because it was pretty typical and the characters and story no longer interested me (in other words, I grew up). You can find some of the battleship and creature designs in the Design section.
