I’ve been celebrating the 20th anniversary of the publication of Septerra Core with a series of retrospective articles, and the fan response has been great. Last year I had a couple players hit me up for commissions of their favorite characters, and it’s been pretty cool to revisit drawing some of them.
The first was posted a few months ago (check out “Lull Before the Storm” in the Commissions gallery) and now a new piece is finally going up on the site. While the first commission was of characters that I had designed for the game, this one was of the Chosen Emperor Aspertine, a character that had been concepted by Kye, one our talented artists at Valkyrie Studios. I went back to the original design as well as the in-game character model for reference.
